Our care team practices broad-scope medicine so we can treat the whole patient. We focus on preventative medicine, alternative/complementary medicine, and chronic disease management.

DPC members receive one free intravenous therapy per calendar year and additional discounts for intravenous therapy packages.

Intravenous Therapy

You don’t need to be a member to get the benefits of IV Infusion Therapy.

We offer intravenous (IV) therapy to supplement the comprehensive care provided to both members and non-members.

IV therapy is administered at our medical office under the supervision of an on-site, board-certified physician and nurse practitioner. It consists of a customized solution compounded at the time of service which contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients that work together to produce various health benefits.

IV Infusion Enhancements

L-Glutathione

or simply glutathione, is a powerful antioxidant made of amino acids. Supplementally, glutathione can be taken in the treatment and prevention of cataracts, glaucoma, aging, alcoholism, cancer, heart disease, liver disease, lung disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, osteoarthritis, diseases that breakdown the body’s immune system, and many more.

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC)

is derived from the amino acid L-cysteine. NAC is used to help treat many conditions. Some of these conditions include: flu, dry eye, lung conditions including cough, kidney disease, and Tylenol overdose.

Magnesium chloride

is a mineral that is important in maintaining the function of our nerves, cells, bones, muscles, and heart. Most people get enough magnesium in their normal diet, however, sometimes additional supplementation is needed.

L-arginine

is used in improving athletic performance, preventing the common cold, improving kidney function after a kidney transplant, pre-eclampsia, boosting the immune system, and preventing inflammation in the digestive tract in premature infants. This also helps to speed wound healing, increase blood flow to cold hands and feet (helpful in patients with diabetes), and for sexual issues in both men and women.

L-Lysine

is an amino acid that can be used in the treatment of cold sores due to herpes simplex. Some research has shown it may be effective in the treatment of osteoporosis, diabetes, stress, and for athletic performance improvement.

Zinc Chloride

is a trace mineral that supports immune function and helps fight infections/viruses such as the common cold and COVID-19.

Hydroxocobalamin (Vitamin B12)

is one of the water-soluble B vitamins that is required for neurological function, cell production, normal growth, and erythropoiesis. B12 is also involved in energy production from proteins and carbohydrates.

Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)

is an antioxidant that plays an important role in the body. It not only protects the body’s cells from damage, but also is needed to maintain the health of skin, teeth, bone, cartilage, and blood vessels.

Calcium chloride

is used in the treatment of hypocalcemia (low calcium), hyperkalemia (high potassium), and hypermagnesemia (high magnesium). It is also used in the immediate treatment of hypocalcemic tetany, which causes muscle spasms due to abnormally low levels of calcium in the body. Other uses for calcium chloride include: cardiac resuscitation, arrhythmias, calcium-channel blocker overdose, and beta-blocker overdose.

L-Carnitine

is often promoted as a weight-loss aid to help improve exercise performance and enhance one’s sense of well-being.

L-Proline

is an amino acid that has been shown to increase collagen production in the skin, bones, ligaments, and tendons. Increased L-Proline may slow down the aging process and enhance skin health.

Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)

is important in maintaining the health of our nerves, skin, and red blood cells. It is found in foods such as meat, poultry, bananas, avocados, nuts, and whole grains. Most people acquire the needed amount of vitamin B6 in their normal diet. However, some conditions and medications may cause some people to become deficient in vitamin B6-this is when supplementation is necessary.

Dexpanthenol (Vitamin B5)

is a derivative of pantothenic acid, a B complex vitamin. Dexpanthenol is used either intramuscularly or intravenously to treat paralysis of the intestines following surgery.

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA)

is a fatty acid that occurs naturally in the body and serves vital functions at the cellular level, such as energy production. ALA has been used in supplement form to help in the treatment of diabetes, HIV, cancer, liver ailments, and has recently gained more popularity in the use of weight loss.

L-Taurine

otherwise known as taurine a conditional amino acid. There are many conditions that use taurine for treatment including: congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, hepatitis, high cholesterol, and cystic fibrosis.

L-Amino Blend

helps boost your metabolism, improve energy levels, increase endurance, and help to burn fat. It also provides your body essential and nonessential amino acids required to stay healthy.

Basic BOTOX® and Dermal Fillers

Tate & Huston Integrative Wellness Center offers elective cosmetic procedures performed by certified healthcare professionals.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.

We also offer dermal fillers, which are injectable medical device implants approved by the FDA for use in helping to create a smoother and/or fuller appearance in the face, cheeks, chin, and lips.

The cost for these procedures is not included in your DPC membership.

Why choose DPC as your primary care option?

DPC is a personalized comprehensive primary care for an affordable monthly rate. It is a care option that eliminates the corporate medical systems that do not put patients first.

What does my DPC membership include?

The monthly subscription covers personalized primary care through office visits, annual wellness exams, well child exams, sports physicals, school physicals, basic office procedures, office injections, basic labs, one complimentary IV Therapy per calendar year, 24/7/365 access to our office, and availability of same day or next day appointments.

Will I benefit from Tate & Huston Integrative Wellness Center if I don’t require frequent medical attention?

Yes! Unfortunately, most medical care has become very reactionary, a response to symptoms or being sick. While we always provide sick care for our patients, we place utmost importance on being proactive and creating plans for staying healthy. Certainly, everyone benefits from healthcare tailored to them. The current healthcare model encourages you NOT to seek care until you are really sick, but at Tate & Huston Integrative Wellness Center you can seek care at any time, preferably sooner rather than later. We can actually prevent things from happening instead of waiting for them to happen and then treating them. You can simply call us, ask a quick question via text, or schedule an urgent visit. Over time, we will have comprehensive knowledge about you and your individual health, and if you do end up needing more frequent medical attention, we will know all about your needs and how to treat you best. This cannot be said for any other healthcare model, and this is why Direct Primary Care is the model for now and the future.

Can I choose DPC if I have existing health insurance?

Whether or not you currently have health insurance, we can accommodate your primary care needs here. The monthly service fee is your payment for ongoing primary care services offered by your provider. We strongly recommend that patients do have insurance for care that may be needed beyond what we offer (specialty care, ER or Hospitalizations, surgeries, etc.)
